The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) is set to launch a
scholarship scheme for children of its ministers and members wishing to
study in the Redeemer's University (RUN). It is no secret that the
Visitor to the university and General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian
Church of God, Pastor E. A. Adeboye has severally stated that his
vision is that Redeemer’s University students are to be on full
scholarship provided by the alumni. He has however acknowledged in
recent past that this vision is yet to be realised due to the relatively
young age of the alumni.
Investigations have revealed that
Pastor E.A. Adeboye already has several students studying in the
Redeemer's University whose education is personally funded by him and
not the church. It is therefore laudable to note that the church is
finally doing something for its ministers and members and also, the
university.
To benefit from the scheme, there must be an active
participation in the scheme by members, parents, students, etc (at an
appropriate level according to income). This participation can be as low
as 500 monthly or more. A recent whatsapp message revealed that the
church and the university will soon make a public announcement on the
scholarship scheme but it seems application for admission is in
progress.
The Scholarship is not a full one but has high ranges from Pastors to members.
All candidates seeking admission to Redeemer's University can visit adms.run.edu.ng
to complete the online application and note the dates for general
screening which scholarship applicants must undertake as well since they
must qualify for general admission first before qualifying for
scholarship.
General admission & scholarship screening dates are attached (got this online).
